This is the spore of an edible mushroom. Due to the size and shape of this small spore, it could be confused with a helminth egg. The lack of internal
structure, flattened side and small size (23 mm
x 13 mm)
distinguishes it from the pinworm egg. The absence of an operculum distinguishes it from a trematode egg. |
