Photos:The bromocresol purple dyes used in BCP media appeared in some images as a pink color rather than blue. This was apparently due to light wavelengths not visible to the eye. As this is a teaching document and the color and variations of color are important to this test, the images have been adjusted through Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Systems Inc. The images contain an uninoculated tube as well as the test. All color changes were applied to both tubes of media, to make the uninoculated tube as close to the true color as possible. Presented
