| Tinea versicolor | |
|
A 30 year old woman presents with scaling reddish brown patches on the anterior chest and upper back. She states the lesions were more noticeable at the end of
the summer in that these areas failed to tan.
Scrapings of the lesions revealed clumps of small spores and pseudo hyphae in a spaghetti and meatballs pattern typical of tinea versicolor. Treatment was given with selenium sulfide lotion topically. |
