A 7 year old male developed a crusted area on the left temporal scalp with associated hair loss. He had recently visited his Grandparents' farm and was in contact with several of the barnyard cats.
Culture grew Microsporum canis. The patient responded to a 8 week course of oral griseofulvin. |
